Joey versus Megatron

*sigh* Probably should have more sleep before I attempt this in one sitting. @___@

Two firsts: First time at an attempt of anything TF-related.

Lined in openCanvas, colored/edited in CS4. OMG. Headache.

So yeah, 's holding an "OC vs. fav. villain" contest. Struck me as something I wanted to do.

Dunno what made me choose Megatron, exactly. I don't really have a favorite villain, truth be told. I mean, I could name a few right off the bat I'd actually want to fight, but I suppose I chose ole' Megs because he's a generally entertaining villain to watch. Probably could have used an easier version to draw, but G1 Megatron's just...classic. I know I didn't get him exaclty right down to the last detail, but I think I did alright for a first try.

And why not? I'll throw in a short quippet of a story for ya! Enjoy!

"AUGH!" Joey was blasted backwards, sprawling onto his back. Megatron had launched yet another powerful blast from his fusion cannon at him.

"Grr...puny flesh creature! How much more can you take?!" The strangled voice of the feared Decepticon leader hissed at him, obviously plagued with fatigue. Joey didn't stay down long, though, and ran right up at Megatron, giving him a strong right fist at an earlier dent he'd blown onto the evil Transformer. Megatron and Joey had both been fighting for the better part of a day now, with no clear victor in sight. Even Joey, powerful as he was, had trouble dealing a finishing blow. Megatron had Joey outclassed in weight, height, and by his opinion, intelligence, yet his Saiyan opponent still stood and fought. Both combatants had dealt good blows, however. Joey had taken off three fingers on Megatron's left hand, and Megatron had all but crushed Joey's left leg. "You will not claim victory this cycle, Saiyan!" With a furious roar, Megatron once again opened fire with his arm-mounted fusion cannon.

With a gathering grunt, Joey took to the sky to try to avoid the blasts. He didn't have a lot of power left, so whatever he was going to do, he had to do it fast.

"RRGH!" Yet another gathering grunt, and Joey called on all the power he had left. His head buzzed as his ki surged into his right hand. He turned and fired all he had; one last uncharged Kamehameha Wave. "KAMEHAME...HA!!!" The blinding blue energy blasted through the fusion cannon bullets, and struck the tyrannical Megatron head on. A deafening "YAAAAAARGHH!!!" was heard, followed by a column of billowing smoke. With that, Joey was spent. He tiredly free-fell back to the ground, unfortunately crash landing, and striking his crushed leg on the way down. He had little time to wince in pain, however, because when the smoke finally cleared, there knelt a severly beat up, yet angry Megatron.

"It appears I am the victor...boy..." Megatron wheezed, his cannon's barrel pointed right over Joey's head, the energy within glowing brightly.

"You'd think so, wouldn't you?" Joey retorted, gritting his teeth as he summoned any and all energy he had left. It wasn't a lot, but maybe it'd be enough.

"DIE!" The two warriors commanded, right before a white flash blinded the scene.
